Objectives Of This Role

• Make guests feel welcome with excellent service and hospitality

• Communicate effectively with the kitchen to ensure the guests needs are met efficiently

• Anticipate guest needs and check on them frequently

• Ensure food safety

• Maintain a clean and sanitized dining room

Responsibilities

• Seat guests and provide bread and water

• Take accurate orders paying attention to allergies, substitutions, celebrations, etc.

• Communicate with the kitchen, as needed

• Deliver food and beverages and take orders for refills

• Bus, sanitize, and reset tables

• Polish silverware and glassware

• Other duties as assigned, including opening and closing side work

Skills & Qualifications

• Excellent customer service and communication skills

• Working knowledge of POS systems

• Knowledge and interest in food and wine

• Cleanliness

• Strong organizational skills

• Strong time management skills

• Commitment to quality

Preferred Qualifications

• Food service experience

• Knowledge of the restaurant industry

• Food-handling certification (or willingness to acquire)

• Good memory and quick on their feet

• Leadership abilities and decision-making skills

• Passionate about food and the dining experience
